COMFREY "Knitbone"

Comfrey is a perennial shrub that is native to Europe and temperate parts of Asia. Fond of moist soils, comfrey has a thick, hairy stem, and grows 2 - 5 feet tall. Comfrey contains allantoin, a substance that helps new skin cells grow together with other substances such as rosmarinic acid, and tannins that reduce inflammation and help to keep skin healthy. Traditionally it has been used to reduce inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as strains and sprains. Comfrey oil is also known as knitbone
