UVA-URSI

Also known as Bearberry. Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi is a plant species of the genus Arctostaphylos (manzanita). Its common names include kinnikinnick and pinemat manzanita and are grown in Britain, Central & Northern Europe and North America.

It contains the glycoside arbutin, which has antimicrobial properties and acts as a mild diuretic. It has been used for urinary tract complaints, including cystitis and urolithiasis.A study using a product containing Uva-Ursi in combination with Dandelion, for the prevention of a recurrent cystitis, showed a significant prophylastic effect with no side effects reported. 

Extracts also enhance the anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects.
